Back In New York

I recently got back to New York from Utah where I spent some time with my family and my new niece. While most of the time there was uneventful, I did have the chance to rescue a little kestrel from the window-well of my parents house. After the ordeal of actually getting him out of the window-well I took him to the back yard where he say quietly for about ten minutes before he attempted to fly back to his nest (actually, I have no idea whether it was a male or female). This gave me time to take a few pictures of him before his parents decided to protect him and forced me back inside the house.

Sad or Tired?

Just a little complimentary color experiment.
Done in gouache.

Final Photoshop class

So as the semester ends, we had one final project for my Photoshop class.
This is a little guy that I painted in about 2 1/2 hours during class.
I'm still getting used to mixing drawing and painting in photoshop (I need
to figure out how to use the brushed better...).
His name is Nitro (in case anyone was wondering).

Samurai Sketch

For one of my illustration classes we are painting
pictures of samurai.  This is a quick sketch, based
on one of the guys from Kurasawa's Seven Samurai.

Zoo Animals

Last summer I went to the zoo in
Utah and did some sketches while
I was there.

Sketches of a Bird

These are just some sketches of a bird drawn
for a class project.

Just a photo from a few summers ago.
